Detection of Endometrial Cancer through Magnetic Resonance diffusion weighted imaging

Background: The most common malignancy in the reproductive system of female is Endometrial carcinoma, that represent fourth women cancer world. first line to treat any disease that’s be diagnosing tools. Aim study: we aimed from this study enhancing role diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) detect endometrial cancer. Patients and Method: included 25 patients referred gynecological outpatient clinic assess endometrium, range between 45-75 years old with dysfunctional uterine bleeding, bleeding post-menopausal, taken tamoxifen through 1.5 tesla MRI Achiva Philips 32 channels. Results: Aging was 59.96 ± 7.9 old, 88% presented postmenopausal 12% menorrhagia, which 79% histopathological adenocarcinoma 16% unspecific grading tumor grade I 52%, 28% II, 20% III, In DW1 images, found high signal present among all selected (25 females). Conclusion: important accurate technique staging more than T2W conventional images alone.
